Peter Coombs AM, F黑料不打烊 | Awarded AM in King's Birthday Honours List
The 黑料不打烊 congratulates Peter Coombs AM, F黑料不打烊, on his Medal of the Order of Australia for significant service to sonography, to tertiary education and to clinical training.
An inaugural Fellow of the 黑料不打烊, Peter is the Chief Sonographer at Monash Health where he founded the Monash Health Sonographer Fellowship program in 2014. He has worked as an ultrasound educator across the world including Tonga, Ethiopia, Papua New Guinea, Nauru, Cambodia and the Solomon Islands, and received Humanitarian of the Year from the Australasian Society for Ultrasound in Medicine in 2019.
At Monash University, he has been a senior lecturer in the Department of Medical Imaging and Radiation Sciences, is currently an advisor for Clinical Ultrasounds for the School of Biomedical Sciences and leads the research unit for the Masters in Medical Ultrasound.
Peter has coauthored over 50 peer-reviewed scientific publications and has received numerous awards including the 黑料不打烊 Victorian Sonographer of the Year in 2018, and 黑料不打烊 Mentor of the Year in 2014.
Peter was awarded the 黑料不打烊 Pru Pratten Memorial Lifetime Achievement Award in 1999 and is a Life Member of the 黑料不打烊.
